Blackstrapz 40 plus Challenge

Most Challengers will not make 40 plus of each of these 2 exercises - so lets find out what you CAN do!

This "Blackstrapz 40 Plus Challenge TM", incorporating 2 exercises is designed to push even the top pro athlete to the limits. Even strong body builders may not score as well as the fit lean competitor because the Blackstrapz Trainer uses body weight resistance and elements of instability causing additional muscles to be required to assist balance during the challenge exercises.

Set up the Blackstrapz Trainer over a door, around rafters or a tree etc.

40x Press Up Knee Tuck-Combo (PUKT)

MEASURES:
  • Feet must be directly below attachment point at starting position ie not behind attachment point.(if using a door feet should almost touch the door)
  • Press up must be low enough to bring shoulders to elbow height
  • Knee tuck must leave shins parallel to the floor
SET UP:
  1. Length of blackstrapz : midway between Knee and Ankle
  2. Slide handles up the handle/foot loops out of the way.
  3. Kneeling on floor with back to blackstrapz (Anchor Point)
  4. Place both feet in foot loops with top of feet facing the ground
  5. FACE AWAY FROM blackstrapz place hands on floor, arms straight and straighten legs, lifting knees off floor
  6. Keep hips "hiked" and hands wider than shoulders (about 1-2 hand spans wider )
EXECUTION:
  1. Maintaining hips and back , Keep legs straight and abdominals "braced"
  2. Bend elbows and lower chest toward floor until shoulders are level with elbows
  3. Slowly straighten arms lifting chest away from floor
  4. KEEPING BOTH FEET AND KNEES TOGETHER, BEND BOTH knees towards hands ,lifting hips higher
  5. Straighten knees back to start position with hips "hiked"

40x Overhead Tricep Extension (OTE)

MEASURES:
  • Feet Must be directly below Attachment point at starting position (if using a door feet should almost touch the door)
  • Arms Straight and level to start
  • Body moves to 45 degree angle with hands to top of head , hands held together
SET UP:
  1. Length of blackstrapz : midway between Knee and Hip
  2. Standing with back to blackstrapz (anchor point)
  3. Hold handles with palms facing down (facing the floor) and thumbs together
  4. Arms straight in front of you with fists at head height (thumbs still together)
  5. Feet together, against door or straight under anchor point
EXECUTION:
  1. Body leaning forward
  2. KEEP BODY "TAUGHT", "rigid", "plank-like" as you bend both elbows and take hands with thumbs together, over your head, touching your head, then straighten both elbows and take both hands (thumbs still together) out in front of you
  3. NOTE: when bending elbows keep elbows pointing forward- AVOID "splaying" the elbows
